Diesel Oxidation Catalysts are the “Fit-&-Forget” approach to cleaner exhausts for any diesel engine

ECS AZ CATALYST

The AZ Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), developed by Engine Control Systems, is a unique zeolite washcoat base and precious metal catalyst that provides extraordinary emissions reduction performance on modern and older diesel engines.

AZ DOC’s oxidize hazardous carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) to form harmless carbon dioxide and water. The AZ DOC will also reduce total particulate emissions by typically 25%-45% by oxidizing the soluble organic fraction of the particulate, and give a considerable reduction in diesel exhaust odor.

Specialist custom designs are often manufactured as silencer replacement products. Selecting from an extensive design range, many designs are available for present and past applications.

AZ DOC performance:
The AZ DOC has been tested according to the Buscyclus, Braunschweig and ISO 8178 by the Swedish Vehicles Test Authority, and was used extensively under the early Environmental Zone implementation. The US EPA has also certified the AZ Purimuffler™ under the US urban bus
retrofit/rebuild program. In the UK the Energy Saving Trust approved the AZ under the CleanUp program. The AZ catalyst was widely used on London Buses when they initiated their policy for cleaner city buses.
The AZ will give 90% reductions in hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide, and up to 45% reduction in total particulate mass.

ECS DZ Catalyst

Similar in shape, size, and application to the AZ DOC but with a metallic substrate for more sever service life. The DZ DOC is particularly good with higher exhaust temperatures.

DZ DOC performance:
The DZ DOC has been proven successful on many applications and engine types. The DZ will give 75% reductions in hydrocarbon and 90% reduction in carbon monoxide at 275’C.

Performance DOC

A range of oxidation catalysts suitable for high performance engines. Super-low exhaust restriction allowing free flow of exhaust gasses. Metallic substrate coated with higher temperature resistant precious metals. Customised sizes are available to suit engine size and exhaust bore diameter. Though the standard design has ID slip-fit inlet and outlet for clamping around existing pipe, Performance Cat's can be supplied with various inlet and outlet fixings to suit customer needs.
